Welcome to Felixstowe Scribblers

Friday, December 03, 2004

Just a reminder that our next meeting is on Tuesday 7th December at 7.30 at the library.

The homework theme is "Identity" which was set by Caz with Ann, Gordon and myself (since substituted by Jan) for the 1,500 word open themed topic. As usual the rest of the Scribblers can take it easy with a mere 250 words or so.....!

You will also have the opportunity to see Jacqui's work on display at the library but if you are able, why not go along on Sunday when her work will be displayed tor for the first time.

Hope to see you all on Tuesday so....

Keep Scribbling!

Dave

An update re: The AA Independent Press Guide

Just to let you know The AA Independent Press Guide has now been posted, in its entirety, online at my website: www.thunderburst.co.uk

You can now access information on nearly 2,000 lit mags and presses without charge, and I promise you there's no pop ups or advertising banners.

I know a lot of folk are suspicious of anything that's offered for free, especially given the amount of spam that infests the internet, but this isn't an offer of free money, just free information. The reason I'm doing it is I was in negotiation with A&C Black to publish the guide as a book, but in the end they decided it wasn't financially viable, so I've decided to publish it on the internet instead.

I hope you find the AA Independent Press Guide useful. I'd welcome your feedback, and I'd be grateful if you would help to spread the word. Offers of weblinks and mentions in magazines or newsletters would be much appreciated.

All the best

We are a new company dedicated to helping unpublished authors get their work published.
Having discovered the hard way how difficult it is to get agents and publishers to look at manuscripts from unknown writers, we offer a platform for authors to display their work.

Only serious authors are eligible; they must have written at least two full-length novels to be considered for inclusion.
