I was saddened to hear that the Herman De Stern had been destroyed in a blade caused by a fourteen year old and a fifteen year old boy. Surely there must be something more in Felixstowe to occupy our youngsters on a Sunday?

The law is too damned soft on these yobs! All they're likely to receive is a slap on the wrist. I've a few suggestions on what to do with them and others, but I best not say whilst the screen will turn red!!!

You're hard on the poor youths who did this, aren't you? But not hard enough!

They need help - to understand what cretins they are. Certainly lock 'em up and throw away the key but first give them hard labour to clear up the desecration they've made of the building.

Then when they're released enlist them into Army for a couple of years - WE'LL KNOCK THEM INTO SHAPE!

Was down there this afternoon - Wed 28th.

The shattered red Suffolk Tile fragments that had been spread all over from the fire had been swept away - and the unsteady gables had been pulled down - the surveyors and fire investigators needed them gone so they could begin theyre work.

She is fading fast...the end of a piece of Felixstowe history.
