Our Next Meeting

A reminder that our next meeting takes place this coming Tuesday 5th May at the Cafe Libra, Felixstowe Library, starting at 7.30pm. The 1,500 open themed work will be read by Stephen and Ally whilst the 500 word assignment is on 'Funfair'.

The Bill Budner Short Story competition has now ended and all entries have been received at the Library and are now being judged. We wait with baited breath and poised pen for the outcome!

Out today! BEYOND THE THIRD EYE by our Irish colleague Rochelle Moore. Available from Amazon and www.andborough.com - well worth a purchase!

Don't forget to keep your work coming in for our anthology. Existing and former members work is welcome. Any queries to Barry, Jane, Les or Dave.

The next Ipswich Writers’ Café will take place at 8pm on Monday 6 July at the Wicked Café, Waterfront Building, University Campus Suffolk, as part of this year’s Ip-Art festival. If you would like to attend this free event, please email me at aburton@wolseytheatre.co.uk, stating whether you would also like a reading slot, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. This year University Campus Suffolk, in partnership with Ip-Art, has commissioned a new short story from Clare Wigfall, winner of the 2008 BBC National Short Story Award, on the theme of ‘Safe’. Clare will read it for the first time for the Writers’ Café audience. For details of all Ip-Art events, visit www.ip-art.com

Until Tuesday,

Keep Scribbling!
