Next Meeting at Felixstowe Library on Tuesday 4th October at 7.30
Hi Scribblers,
Just a reminder that our next meeting will be at the Felixstowe Library on Tuesday 4th October at 7.30 pm when the homework theme is taken from the photograph of a garden table and two chairs with a trilby, a single ballet shoe, a walking stickand possibly a rolled up brolly. The photo was supplied by Belinda but unfortunately I am unable to reproduce the photo here or on the website at present.
Judy should be back from her travels so hopefully she will be writing a long piece about her experiences on the high seas etc., whilst Les will provide us with a 1,500 word masterpiece.
The rest of us will try and complete the homework within the 500 word maximum. It's a shame Belinda won't be with us to share the results. Perhaps some could be posted on the website or emailed to her?
Margareta has requested that the last report should be amended because she was not mentioned in it. Unfortunately on the extremely late evening that the report was compiled, the very same day that I received news of the death of a very dear and beloved family friend, some omissions occurred. These happen from time to time even under normal circumstances so yes, Margareta did complete the homework for the evening but as she is aware there was no time to read it out. Also Mavis passed a message to me that Doreen has now moved house and home, but is yet to reconnect to the Internet. Once she has, then Doreen will be back in touch again.
If you haven't yet joined the Online Jotters then why not do so today? It doesn't affect the way Scribblers are run, can add another dimension to your writing interests and will be fun! All you need to do is email onlinejotters@yahoo.co.uk with your full name, email address and location. Just as simple as that! Updates are included on our website at http://nar8or.blogspot.com
Talking of websites, have a look at FelixstoweTV's gorgeous newsreader... our very own Ruth!
Until next Tuesday,
Keep Scribbling!
Dave!

Who is the ugly bit on the tv????
You're looking in a mirror..
Te heehee :-)
I feel that anyone who is anonymous, or hiding behind something, and then has the sheer audacity to start calling names is pretty pathetic.
Maybe, if there is something worthwhile to be said or discussed then that person should really step up to the plate in open view. Or they could remain as curtain twitchers, the choice is always there i guess.
Nicely said Mark.. but I'm remaining anonymous too for now ..
I quite agree, she is, te heehee...! Te heehee..!!
First anonymous thing must be suffering from dysgeusia and the other Anonymous thing sounds like a donkey.
Whats up doc??!
I think doc has a desperate taste in his mouth...
Has not the poor woman at the centre of this discussion nothing to say in defence? Surely she must read these pages.
I watched the screening, curious by what all the fuss was about. Give the lady a break I say. Alright, she isn't a stunner, the small screen made her eyes appear rather central on her nose, but I thought she presented herself very well. I do hope the lady does not take offence. Its not about looks, after all. Must say, the joshing is interesting. Its certainly not a boring read this page.
The lady concerned is I can confirm a super lass - not only very good looking but with brains, a personality and a good heart to match.
I dont think it is fair to make childish comments that could upset people here - good people who would help anyone.
The Scribblers is a 'positive community' and if this doesnt cease theyre going to have to stop the anonymous postings - as its not fair to have good people upset over a bit of banter thats gone too far.
Lets not over emphasize the woman's looks. She is fairly attractive. Thats it though.
I quite agree, lets not get personal. I enjoy these comments pages.I do hope you don't scrap them as it will disappoint so many people. Also, I think a bit of back and forth banter, good and a bit bad livens things up.
Just wondering, whoever deals with these pages, could you put scribblers work up for us to read, as I would be so interested. You have another page where various scribblers work is on to read and I enjoyed reading it. Please will you reply? Will be most interested. Another thing, concerning the comments, please don't remove the comments for us outsiders to make ourselves, if far away, heard. I'm sure others will agree.
I can understand the person defending the lady in question insistent she is goodlooking. Its like a mother telling their toy soldier of a son that they're handsome, not true but said with love and devotion.
Maybe it is time for some of this mindless banter to cease.
For the anonymous person who asks if we could put Scribblers work on line to read, it is nice to have a positive request developing from the comment postings.
From time to time work is displayed but only with the consent of the author. There are plans to include work in a new website that is currently under construction but meanwhile have you thought of joining our Online Jotters? You could then join in! - email onlinejotters@yahoo.co.uk for information.
Thankyou for your quick response.
I will consider online jotters, and I look forward to the time when the new website is available.
Just a word over the comments drawn on this page. Why not remove the current comments. Leave a clean page.
Thankyou.
Your comment is being considered.
