BOMBS HERE, GRENADES THERE....

Reports have filtered through that High Road East between the Orwell roundabout and Picketts Road was closed earlier today by a hand grenade reportedly found in a nearby back garden.

It seems that the Royal Air Force bomb disposal team attended the incident. Seems strange that less than a week ago the same bomb disposal unit was up in Ipswich to clear away another grenade yet the road stayed open.

Could it be that Felixstowe is more explosive than Ipswich? Or was this making certain that this one didn't get away....?

Whatever you think, spare a thought for the brave men who regularly attend to war time ordnance making our land a safer place to live.

Might have been a big grenade that was more dangerous
